Despite multiple challenges such as regulatory–related concerns, disparity of infrastructure conditions, archipelagic–nature of the country that results in, amongst others, distribution complications, or very diverse consumers’ preference, Indonesia remains alluring, yet intriguing, either as a market or as a manufacturing base.

Several factors that contribute to the country’s attractiveness including i) improvement of investment climate, ii) continuous development of infrastructures, iii) large pool of productive age population, iv) upsurge of urban population, v) increase of purchasing power, vi) advancement of technology penetration & literacy, and/or vii) improvement of workforce competitiveness.

Therefore, existing multinational companies or national companies are mulling the most efficient mechanism to expand their business in Indonesia. Similarly, multinational companies that have not established their presence in the country are seriously considering to enter and are seeking an effectual method of entry.

Prompted by those needs, PT. Imaji Daya Kencana (IDK) was established so that it can accommodate such requirements from those companies.

Irawan D. Kadarman

A seasoned professional with extensive working experience in multinational companies such as Coca–Cola, Philip Morris, Carrefour, as well as national conglomerates including Riau Andalan Pulp & Paper (RAPP), Asia Pulp & Paper (Sinar Mas), and Sampoerna Strategic. In those companies, he was in charge of Corporate Affairs and engaged intensively with senior level Authorities, Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Business Associations, Academics, Experts, as well as Media and Non–Profit Organizations (NGO’s).

He holds a Master’s Degree in Construction Management with a minor in Business Administration from University of New South Wales, Sydney, Australia and Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Technology from Eastern Kentucky University, Richmond, Kentucky, USA.

Erik J. Schoevers

Worked 23 years in Asia and has a wide experience in setting up new businesses and managing joint ventures in Asia. He’s worked with Procter & Gamble and Heineken in Asia Pacific Region in various Executive jobs. Afterward, he worked with an Indonesian conglomerate Bakrie & Brothers in Indonesia followed by Berli Jucker/ThaiBev in Southeast Asia. He specializes in M&A and Strategic Advice.

He received an MBA in Economics from the State University of Groningen and joined the Advanced Management Program at Wharton, USA.

In the past eight years, Erik is the Managing Partner of Eastwingate Southeast Asia and recently became an affiliate of IDK.

Chanapol Porsom

A seasoned professional with an extensive regional experience in F&B industry both in technical and commercial aspects. Started out as New Product Development in Nestle Thailand Group to set up various successful F&B products, General Manager in Food Ingredients Specialties (Thailand) Ltd., Senior Vice President in Berli Jucker Public Company Limited (BJC) Specialties Division, Managing Director and Executive Partner, Autoservice Alliance Co., Ltd., and as a Commissioner & Advisor in companies such as Chaijinda Seafood, Ichi Tan Group PLC, and KCG Corporation Co., Ltd.

Graduated with B. Sc. In Food Science and Technology from Chiang Mai University, Thailand followed by Mini MBA from Chulalongkorn University, Thailand.

At present, Chanapol is an affiliate of IDK.

Phetsamone Rasphone (Phet)

Has more than 20 years of experience in a variety of industriesincluding fast moving consumer goods (FMCGs), inland transportation, etc. in countries such as Turkey, Algeria, and Indonesia. Started in Ernst & Young, France followed by Deloitte Consulting in Indonesia as a Director and Abington Advisoryin Indonesia as a Partner.

His specialties include strategy development, business modeling, turnaround & restructuring projects, transformation&change management, salesforce effectiveness, and supply chain.

He’s a PhD preparation at the Doctorate School of Management at University of Burgundy, France and an MBA from Burgundy School of Management, France.

In the past six years, Phetis a Partner of Abington Advisory in charge of Southeast Asia and Abington is recently partnering with IDK.

Taufik Zuhdi Utomo

A seasoned professional in strategic management, commercial excellence, marketing and sales operations, market research, consumer insights, and data intelligence.

Has more than 25 years of experience in multinational pharmaceutical companies such as Novartis, Abbott, Baxter, and United Laboratories affiliates companies (Darya-Varia Laboratoria, Medifarma Laboratories and Prafa). Also served as Consumer Insights for International Flavor and Fragrances (IFF) and involved in various business development, strategy, and product development projects for large FMCG companies in Indonesia and Southeast Asia.

Experienced in country executive committee role, managing, developing, and leading the organization.

Passionate in healthcare space and pharmaceutical business, in business strategy and business development, including ideation and exploring disruptive ideas in innovation accelerator.

Graduated with Bachelor’s Degree in pharmacy and professional pharmacist from Bandung Institute of Technology, Indonesia followed by Executive Education Program (EEP) and Emerging Leaders Business Academy (ELBA) from INSEAD Business School, Singapore and Novartis Asia University (NAU).

Andrew Wanandy

Andrew Wanandy is based in Sydney and has over 25 years of experience in managing businesses in Indonesia, New Zealand and Australia particularly in medical equipment supplies, pharmaceuticals distribution, electrical engineering, digital printing services, and financial services sector.

He manages business development opportunities for Southeast Asian countries, especially Indonesia and has expanded his networks in the Philippines, Vietnam, Malaysia, and Thailand.

In Australia, practices as a licensed financial adviser since 2008 with in–depth experience in providing Financial Services and Risk Management advice to private and business clients.

Andrew is currently serving as task force member of KADIN IA–CEPA, founding member and Vice President of Asian Australian Business Council in Sydney, and the founding member and President of NKRI OZ Community.

He also serves as an advisor to Auto Logistik, ITHA, Integrindos, RackCorp, River Pharma Asia, PJL Enviro, Agathon, Wayfair Property, Sintesa Group and Financial Wealth.

He is a member of the Financial Planning Association (FPA) and also registered at the Tax Practitioners Board (TPB) as Individual Tax (Financial) Adviser.

He has graduated with Bachelor of Commerce with double major in Marketing and Management from University of Auckland, New Zealand in 1995, Master of International Business from Sydney Business School (Wollongong University) in 2004, followed by Graduate Diploma in Applied Finance from FINSIA in 2009.
